Origin
Pink Pearl was originally established on September 6th, 2004 by Lani. On July 21st, 2005, Lani decided to give a couple of her sites up for adoption, thus the reason how I'm now maintaining this site. I originally owned a Hanon fansite called Ever Blue, but after adopting Pink Pearl, I ended up closing my Hanon site shortly after.I initially planned on just doing some minor touch-ups on the content, but before I knew it, Pink Pearl became one of my own projects. Although it has gone through many updates and revamps, June 20th, 2009 marks the 'final' revamp.
The Name
Pink Pearl was named by Lani back when she used to maintain this site. I may not be her, but I can say this is a pretty representive name for this fansite. I mean, Lucia's pearl is pink, and her transformation phrase is 'Pink Pearl Voice.' I guess I could have come up with a new name, but I figure I might as well keep things consistent. I do not think I can elaborate on this further, but hopefully this has cleared some doubts/queries.Why Lucia?
I think this is pretty obvious, but Lucia is not my favorite character in the series. I would not say I hate her (she was pretty likable in the first series), but PURE made me get really annoyed by her. My favorite characters are actually Hanon and Caren, but I guess I did not even like them enough to make a tribute.As mentioned before, I adopted this fansite as it was practically a complete fansite. In addition, the fandom lacks decent fansites. There was a point when I wanted to close this site; alas, that did not occur. The main reason was the fact 1.) there were even fewer decent fansites in the fandom, and 2.) no Lucia fansite existed (and to my knowledge, this is the only Lucia fansite online). Plus, I like magical girls, so... Yeah.
