Pink Pearl

Zodiac

Zodiac (or Star) Signs are relatively popular in the Western world. From Twitter to your generic tabloid magazine, you can surely find some sort of zodiac-linked horoscope that is very inaccurate. Just like the Japanese superstition of blood type, zodiac signs are believed to describe a person's general personality. To take it a step further, you can supposedly know what the future holds for you, be it school, work, love, etc.

Overall, I think the sign Cancer suits Lucia well. A couple of things that correspond to Lucia well are the theme of water and femininity. Lucia is a mermaid, so she obviously has a strong affinity to water. You could say Cancer's ruler, the Moon, is also suitable, as the moon is often associated with water and even (female) beauty. For instance, the expressions 'the moon pales in comparison to you' and 'you are like a piece of the moon' can be used in Hindi to describe beautiful females.

Lucia is a very caring person. In addition, she has a lot of support from her friends/allies and loved ones. Her nurturing side is not quite that obvious in the first arc of the series, but it is in the second arc. The way Lucia communicates and supports Seira is almost maternal in nature. After all, Lucia is the temporary keeper of the orange pearl - she would not have been without good reason, right?

Insecure and possessive might be pushing things a bit, but Lucia is very protective of Kaito. This is especially true in PURE, where Lucia became utterly distressed and could not digest the fact Kaito forgot about her. She never acted negatively per se on these feelings, but perhaps this trial in their relationship gave light to a darker corner in her personality.
